I am sure we have all heard of TikTok and either sent or received one from a friend at some point. Although the point of these short videos is to make viewers laugh, I find that some of them are rather information and leads viewers to new experiences. I have started to keep track of all of the cool websites, app and ideas I have discovered on the app in a Google Document. Here are some of them:
- Groovebooks (https://www.groovebook.com/)
This is a monthly photo album subscription service. It is only $4 plus tax each month for 40-100 prints. Users download a mobile app to upload pictures directly off their phone. If you are not convinced yet, you can use this code for your first book free: DAIGLE1698.
- Shekou (https://shekouwoman.com/)
Shekou is a New Zealand clothing brand, but it is unique from the others. Customers pre-purchase items to ensure that the company only makes the perfect amount of each item and size. It does this because Shekou is trying to combat fast fashion and wasteful side of the fashion industry. The items on the website are very trendy and sustainably made.
- Prequel
This app is available for free in the Apple Store. It has many features, but its most popular are adding glimmer and filters to pictures. The app also turns live photos into videos. I have used it personally on some pictures and love the effects. Below, I have used the filter Miami and the effect Disco.
-Paint by Numbers (pbnify.com)
This website allows you to upload your own picture and turn it into a paint by number. You simply choose a picture and select various colors in the picture, and the website turns it into a unique paint by numbers.
-Instagram/ Snapchat Stickers
Everyone is trying to have the cutest stories, and stickers help add to this unique, cute design. Thanks to TikTok, I have discovered some things to search to find some hidden stickers. Boho, Steffi, Lidiaontheroad, and the uncommon place, are some of the few I have found.
