As September and then, October begin to creep up, the humidity moves out and the crisp air comes in. The days start to feel as if you experience every single season in the span of 24 hours. Mornings are 39 degrees, but the afternoons are in the 70s. What do you wear in order to meet all of these weather conditions? My solution is a sweater paired with a mini skirt and finished with some booties.

Sweaters allow room for comfort and style. You can rock an oversized knit, or a tight cropped knit. Skirts are a season-less piece. You can rock them in the summer heat, or in the winter chill with tights. I personally love buying statement skirts and matching them with simple tops.

In the look pictured below, I paired my all-time favorite yellow skirt from Bereshka with a Brandy Melville black sweater with a thin white line across the chest. The final touch was a pair of black suede booties by Steve Madden, the only man after my heart. This look required little to no effort but seems rather put together. The skirt played so well with the colors of the pumpkins at a local pumpkin patch in town and various other stops around the 12 South Neighborhood. Finally to hold all my belongings, I paired the look with a black Brandy Melville backpack.

This shoot day was a classic fall day with chills in the air along with many rain drops. This look did not necessarily keep me dry during the day's events, but I was warm during the rain-accented shoot. Even though my yellow skirt showed signs of water in person, the rain drops did not pass along to the camera, which is a win in my eyes.
